When I started this blog a couple of years ago, I thought I really had something to say.  I thought I had a lot to offer the world what with all of my insight and knowledge and experience.  I was going to write and make a difference.

As I maneuvered the blogosphere, I discovered other blogs that I enjoyed reading.  Some were funny.  Some were "mom-blogs."  Some were inspirational.

At some point along the way, I realized that what I had to say wasn't much different than what about a million other people were also writing on their blogs.  Except those people were better writers...with a larger following...and prettier designs.  They were posting at least every day and were expanding to Facebook and Twitter.

So, I basically quit writing.  Oh sure.  I blamed it on being pregnant.  And then I blamed it on having an infant.  But the truth is that I became discouraged.  My vision of what I thought this site would be just fizzled.  Fizzled.

Then something weird happened.

My vision changed.

I no longer have lofty goals of saving the world one blog post at a time.  Although, if that happens...GREAT!

I no longer have visions of catching the eye of a publisher who contacts me to write the next bestseller.  Seriously y'all, have you seen me?  My hair isn't big enough to be the next Beth Moore.

My plans for this place involve showing you who I really am.  Oh, it's still my Alabaster Jar...I just plan on pouring out the authentic me.  The one who watches Breaking Bad and likes to drink wine and who says bad words sometimes.  I enjoy Rush Limbaugh but will change the station for a good Lil Wayne song.  I love my family and my God.

So, world:  Hi.  Welcome to my place.  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you stick around.  This is me.

The best blogs are the most authentic ones. Just be yourself and welcome back! Ive seen so many of the big blogs experience hate and negativity as theyve gotten bigger. It is hurtful to the bloggers im sure. Congratulations on your new little one!

<3 this! Yay for just being you and letting us journey with you through the blog. My favorite blogs are those who show people who they really are. The beautiful thing about the blogging world are the unique voices and stories...that's why I enjoy it.

Fabulous photo by the way!

Well, I hope this means you will post a lot more frequently. Can you commit to 2 x per week? (j/k-kind of.) I am blessed to get to do daily life with your authentic self already; even if it is by proxy or cell phone. :) I'm not going to lie, I am always excited to see what's gonna come out of your mouth next.....today, is no different, my friend. Speak loud, Speak true, and for pete's sake Speak often. love, your bff in Oklahoma.

I am glad you are gonna write again. I struggle with writing because I dont feel interesting enough. And no one ever comments. I wish I had relationships with bloggers as friends but I cant seem to do that in real life or online anymore.
